  • Ascent Property Group, cares about your privacy and is committed to handling, processing, storing and treating your personal information with the highest standard of care.

  • (Note: “we”, “our”, and “us” mean Ascent Property Group. When we use the words “you” and “your”, we mean anyone accessing the Site.)

  • In the course of our business in Australia, there may be circumstances where we collect personal information.

  • This Privacy Policy applies to any person, for whom we currently hold, or may in the future collect, hold, use and/or disclose personal information, including our customers and potential customers.

  • If you become a customer and you establish a credit account with us to pay the fees we charge, we collect some additional personal information, such as a billing address, a credit card number and a credit card expiration date.

  • In order to complete these functions, Ascent Property Group must collect, hold, use and disclose personal information. We collect information about you that we consider necessary for achieving these purposes.

  • In general, you can browse the Site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself.

  • If you use our Site, services or products, we collect your personal information that you submit, which you volunteer by providing your details, for example contact and identify information, billing information, shipping information and other personal information. The primary purpose for which the information is collected varies, depending on the particular product or service being provided. Personal information may also be used or disclosed by us for secondary purposes which are within your reasonable expectations and related to the primary purpose of collection. Otherwise, we will only disclose personal information to third parties with your consent or if the disclosure is permitted by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“the Act”).

  • In addition we are permitted by law to pass on certain information including your name and address (without prior permission) to third parties that provide products, services or functions on our behalf, and without limiting the foregoing you consent to us disclosing your personal information, to the following third parties:

  • those engaged by us to perform functions or provide products and services on our behalf, such as insurance agents and brokers, processing credit card information, mailouts, debt collection, marketing, research and advertising;

  • that are our agents, business partners or joint venture entities or partners;

We may also share non–personally identifiable information with others, such as advertisers, in aggregate anonymous form, which means that the information will not contain any personally identifiable information about you.

  • Ascent Property Group uses cookies or tracers for tracking purposes. Cookies are small data files placed on your hard drive by a website server when you visit. Cookies are currently the only way to effectively identify a unique anonymous visitor and understand how they navigate a website.   • Through the Site you may link to many networked web pages and websites operated by any of the network of our interconnected businesses or affiliates as the case may be. Not all of them have, or may have, adopted this Privacy Policy. Individual sites linked to our website may adopt different privacy policies. Also, some sites are intended to facilitate interaction with other businesses and may not adopt a privacy policy for individuals.

  • APP 13 of the Act allows you to correct the personal information we hold about you in certain circumstances. If you are able to establish that personal information that we hold about you is not accurate, complete or up-to-date, we will take reasonable steps to correct it so that it is accurate, complete and up-to-date.

  • We will grant you access to your information as soon as possible, subject to the request circumstances.

  • In keeping with our commitment to protect the privacy of personal information, we will not disclose personal information to you without proof of identity.

  • We may deny access to personal information if:

  • the request is impractical or unreasonable;

  • providing access would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of another person;

  • providing access would pose a serious and imminent threat to the life or health of any person;

  • providing access would compromise our professional obligations; or

  • there are other legal grounds to deny the request.

  • We may charge a fee for reasonable costs incurred in responding to an access request. The fee (if any) will be disclosed prior to it being levied.
